The limits, as shipped
These are the exact counts the generator writes against. Change the platform and the copy is rewritten to fit it — never written long and then cropped.
| Platform | Placement | Headline | Body |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | Responsive search ad | 30 | 90 |
| Meta | Feed primary text | 40 | 125 |
| Sponsored content | 70 | 150 | |
| X | Promoted post | 50 | 200 |
| TikTok | In-feed video caption | 40 | 100 |
What each limit means in practice
Google Ads
30 headline · 90 body
Responsive search ads, shown in the results page listing.
The tightest limit of the five. Thirty characters is roughly four words, so the headline has to carry one idea and nothing else.
Meta
40 headline · 125 body
Feed placements across Facebook and Instagram.
Primary text is generous, but the headline is clipped hard on mobile. Front-load the claim.
70 headline · 150 body
Sponsored content in the main feed.
The most room of any platform here, which tempts padding. Length is not the same as substance.
X
50 headline · 200 body
Promoted posts in the timeline.
Body is long enough for a full argument, so this is where a problem-first angle has space to land.
TikTok
40 headline · 100 body
In-feed video captions.
The caption competes with the video. Short, spoken-sounding lines beat formal copy.
Fit, not crop
Every angle is authored at more than one length. The generator picks the longest version that fits the platform you chose, so an ellipsis is a last-resort safety net rather than the normal outcome. You can watch the count move as you switch platforms in the studio.
